● FOR COMPLIANCE & RISK TEAMS

Michael speeds up processes but never compromises on compliance – just like your internal compliance team would.

Michael is the extended workbench of your compliance team. We carry your internal compliance standards into your employees' use of Michael. Below we explain how.

How

A sign-off needs proof, not a promise

Can we stop one person acting alone on a large trade? Can each trader be limited to a set value? Can a sanctioned party ever reach a deal? Is every action logged? Who reviews the flagged cases?

Four-eyes approval
Opt-in, per company

Your company turns it on. Then one person cannot both create and approve a trade above the limit.

Sanctions screening
Live, on every swap

ARCO checks it against the published OFAC list at screening time, not a stored copy.

Audit trail
Tamper-evident, exportable

Each log entry carries a link to the one before it. Michael's operations team can search the log and export it to a file.

The Controls, In Order

Five controls a risk sign-off will check for

We check each control below against the platform code, not against a slide deck. A green tag means the control runs today with no setup. An amber tag means your company must turn it on.

01

Four-eyes approval on large trades Opt-in

Your company sets a trade-value ceiling. Above it, one named person creates the trade and a second, different person must approve it. The system checks that the two people are not the same. The approval expires after 7 days. Nobody can reuse an old approval on a new trade.

02

Per-trader value limits Live

Each of your traders gets a trade-value ceiling, set by your own company, in your own currency. A trade above the ceiling is either blocked outright or routed to the four-eyes approval step above, depending on your policy choice.

03

Sanctions and high-risk screening Live

ARCO checks every counterparty against the published OFAC sanctions list at screening time. The platform hard-blocks trades that touch an embargoed country. It does not flag them for later review. A counterparty in a higher-risk region must clear a beneficial-owner check before anyone can create a trade with it.

04

Full audit trail Live

The platform logs every action in order. Each entry carries a hash of the entry before it. A change to a past entry breaks the chain. Michael's operations team can search the log and export it to a file for your records.

05

An operations team reviews flagged cases Live

A named Michael operations role sits on every trade, separate from the two counterparties. It handles flagged sanctions matches and disputed deliveries. It handles any case that needs a human decision. Michael's operations team staffs this role.
